Potty Time Before Boarding
Before boarding, take potty trained toddlers to the bathroom. Even if your child says she does not need to go, take her anyway. There is something about that time on the plane when the “fasten your seat belt” sign is lit and the plane is about to take off that signals small children to announce, “I’ve got to go potty.” You may be able to head off disaster by taking them to the toilet and making them attempt to use the bathroom before boarding. |
Sometimes kids will go a little bit if they are sat on the toilet, even if they have said that they do not need to go. This can prevent an uncomfortable situation for you and your child after you get on the plane and it starts to taxi down the runway.
